What do you do when your first grandbaby has her first birthday? You gather the whole family from across the country to celebrate, of course. It makes a pretty great excuse for a new family portrait too!

We chose a lovely outdoor location in Northwest Austin for this session and were lucky enough to have great weather and even some bluebonnets! The entire portrait session was relaxed and joyful, with a focus on creating wonderful family memories and capturing this special time.

Josie was definitely the star of the show, but we did take some time to have some fun and get all kinds of groupings of this amazing family. I think it's all too often that people stop taking family portraits once their kids are grown, but portraits with your adult children are so special. Of course adding a new grandbaby into the mix only adds to the fun!

To say this precious little girl is well loved is an understatement. The joy this family had in celebrating her was both palpable and heartwarming. What a pleasure it was been to get to capture this beautiful moment in time for this family.
